Restaurant Le Relais Odéon, Paris 6ème
A Parisian terrace
The custom-designed and built terraced garden of this family restaurant is a soothing alternative to the heavy traffic of the Boulevard Saint-Germain in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, inviting one to enjoy the calm and quiet passages on the bangs of the capital's busy thoroughfares. The cobblestone street required a custom installation of planters, themselves specially made in corten steel for the location. Two types of plantings were chosen for this garden: for the south-facing parts, a selection of Mediterranean plants, and for the north-facing parts, Japanese undergrowth plants preferred for their aesthetics and resistance.
